I initially started my career in business management in South Africa. Then decided to immigrate to New Zealand in 2008. I have been working in the financial services industry since my arrival in 2008. I am a registered financial adviser currently working towards being an authorised financial adviser.
My business background gives me a unique advantage when assessing potential risks for my clients, by interpreting potential pitfalls & challenges. I fundamentally believe in making people Thrive in sickness and in health, I have built my business on the principal of always putting the client and their needs first. We are focused on giving honest and independent advice.
Hi, my name is Nanette, and I’m a registered nurse. But when you’re married to the director of a fantastic insurance brokerage you are inspired to do more. I mainly work as a nurse, however I do anything else that needs doing for Thrive. That could include marketing, medical underwriting or simply sending your birthday card.
When I’m not nursing or keeping busy with Thrive-related activities you could find me discovering how green my thumb really is, that is, in the garden. I also enjoy travelling and motorcycling.
I have been working in the insurance industry since 1980 with the last 8 years as a broker at Aon New Zealand dealing with commercial, farming and lifestyle insurances.
I live in Palmerston North and I have been happily married for a number of years. I enjoy catching up with my children, spending time with my wife and still actively participate in sports.
Aon’s and my goal is very much customer focused to provide a meaningful experience for our clients.
Hi, I’ve been with Aon Palmerston North since July 2014. I work in the area of Lifestyle, Small Business and Domestic Insurances. I have previously had retail management and agricultural work experience for 8 years.
My interests outside of work include photography, camping and outdoors, sports and recreation.
I am a family man, married and have three daughters. Having settled in friendly Feilding we are enjoying the community and lifestyle.
Originally from South Africa, I worked in the banking sector before making a shift to IT sales and support, for roughly 6 years. I was then approached to join the Financial Services Industry and was there for just over 10 years, before moving to New Zealand.
Following my arrival I got introduced to the rural sector risks, and then an in-depth view of ACC and its inner workings. I have returned to the financial services industry as I want to help businesses and people to identify and understand their risks, and how to manage or minimize their exposure. I really enjoy making the complicated simple and practical.
I enjoy the outdoors and sports, and I am a keen fisherman, and always keen to talk about the big ones that got away.
I have a family which consists of my daughter (13yrs old) and my Partner. We currently live in Palmerston North. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling and also riding my Dirt Bike. I am a Registered Financial Adviser specialized in all Personal Insurances and the majority of my clients are based in the Taranaki region, I have been working in the Insurance Industry for 3 years and I have a passion for my clients and understanding their current and future needs.
I have always been very people focused with having worked in Management for a Photography Company, In this role, I started as a promoter/telemarketer working my way into Photography, 2IC, Studio Manager and then Marketing Manager of NZ for 20+ Photography Studios. Once leaving I worked for a Business consultancy firm in Christchurch for a couple of years which ended following the Christchurch Earthquakes. This sent me back to the North Island where I have settled!
Upon leaving the public service, I have been involved in the insurance industry on and off for the last 12 years. I entered the industry as a telemarketer and since that time I have held several management positions, including Marketing Manager and National Call Centre Manager.
Recently, my partner and I made the decision to quit big city living for the good life in a small country town and with the shift came the opportunity to do what I do best – talk to great people about Thrive!
I love that I can pick up the phone and have great conversations with people, from all walks of life about their insurance options. Knowing that my phone call may make a big difference to their lives, when they need it most, is very satisfying and personally rewarding.
When I’m not on the phone, I can be found pretending I know what gardening is all about or I may be visiting my family in far off places.
Started my career in the banking industry and worked for 42 years, gained experienced in all of the various divisions within the industry. Being the representative for the bank, as a Relationship Manager over the last 7 years looking after my valuable clients, visiting the businesses and assist with banking needs. Dealing with 80 business groups, responsible for any products of the bank, that clients might need. Thoroughly enjoyed the years in the banking industry, most important for me was the valuable relationships that I established with my clients.
Married to my hubby for 43 year and have two Sons both married to the most wonderful lady’s with 4 granddaughters. Love my family very much and I am so proud of them each of them with their uniqueness.
Decided to retire and join Thrive to explore the insurance and mortgage brokering industry and to continue my passion for interaction with people.
Hobbies, reading, aerobics, creative streak in me love painting canvases. Join the Art Centre in Feilding where I paint from time to time with my Lovely Friends.
